The Autumn shoots at the Ashridge Estate have been going well and the colours of the foliage has been beautiful! I met Helen and Richard with their ever so cute son and playful dog for a shoot, we spent 30 minutes shooting and strolling between the various locations that I’d previously scouted out.
I met Nicole, Tim and their two beautiful children at the Ashridge Estate (which is located between Berkhamsted, Tring and Dunstable) for an autumn shoot! We were blessed with fine weather (although it was a bit chilly) and with our early start, there weren’t too many people around.
As you can see, the autumn colours are looking truly stunning.
If you would like an autumn shoot, I still have a few slots available for the coming weekend, so give me a call on 01442 870005 / 07879 827179 and we can book you in.
I’ve got one slot left tomorrow for my Ashridge Portrait Special Offer. The weather is forecast to be blue skies and sunny … so give me a call or drop me a text/email if you would like that last slot (it’s at 1pm) .. it’s only £25 for a 30 minute shoot.
The 30 minute slots for Autumn shoots at Ashridge are going fast. There are still a few left on the weekends of 23/24 Oct and 30/31 Oct. Give me a call to book your shoot before they are all gone!
Autumn family portraits make great Christmas presents for grandparents.

The weather is definitely looking more autumnal this week and the forecast is talking about the night time temperatures getting down to 3 degrees C by the weekend. There are already a few trees with leaves changing colours and as October approaches we should see some beautiful displays of orange, red and yellow foliage.
I’ve set aside a few dates for Ashridge Family Portrait Shoots, October 23/24 and 30/31. I’ll be doing 30 minute shoots in the Ashridge Estate for only £25! You’ll get some stunning images that will be perfect to hang on your wall or to give to relatives for Christmas presents.
So why not join me on one of those dates and have some fun!
I’m just back from a trip to Scotland. We drove the 600 miles to avoid the airport hassle and the very expensive hire car charges (over £900 for a Ford Galaxy or similar for a week). The weather was variable, gale force winds, rain and occasional sunshine … but we weren’t there to relax on the beach. My in-laws are from the north of Scotland and we were mainly there to visit relatives and to let them meet Sophie for the first time.
This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting John and his family at his 80th Birthday celebrations. John’s daughter arranged for me to be there as a surprise! I spent around an hour with the family photographing them in the garden, they made me feel very welcome and it was a real pleasure to meet everyone.
The Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead branch of the NCT are organising an Arts and Crafts Morning at the beginning of August. If you get the chance to take your children along, I’m sure that they will have a wonderful time and the Sacred Heart is a great place for children and toddlers with it’s hall and enclosed garden.
The Ashridge Estate, close to Berkhamsted, Tring and Dunstable, is a very attractive place to visit with your family. Walks in the woodland, picnics on the grass or a cup of tea in the cafe – there’s always something to do. Our children like to climb on the giant fallen tree trunks and then eat icecreams .
This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting a beautiful young family at Ashridge – they wanted to get some family photos. At this time of the year, a location based shoot works really well. Children can run around with almost complete freedom and their parents can relax and enjoy the scenery. I worked from a distance, looking for natural, candid shots of the family – little Ethan and his cousin Harley were very cute and a joy to photograph!
Last night, a group of Berkhamsted mums met at the top of Pitstone Hill to wish Donna a fond farewell. Donna is moving a few thousand miles to sunny California for a few years – her friends organised a very fine, surprise, fish and chips at this very scenic location. I was there for an hour getting a few images to record the celebrations.
