Before Christmas, Sarah James, a local professional Saxophonist contacted me with the idea of some PR photos taken in the snow. We waited and waited for the right conditions and then in February, about 4 weeks ago, we were lucky enough to have just what we needed!
Sarah and I headed for the Ashridge Estate, the roads weren’t too bad, just a bit slippy here and there … as you can see in the photographs Sarah was wearing a lovely evening dress! Yes, she was very brave with the temperature at a chilly -2 degrees and a cool wind blowing!
Please let me know what you think of the photographs

Last week I met Charlie, Tony and their lovely baby daughter, Latika at the Ashridge Estate for a shoot. It’s always fun being out on location, especially when the weather cooperates! We spent 45 minutes wandering in the trees, playing on the grass and having lots of fun … and of course creating some beautiful photographs:

I had a lovely shoot with Maria, Luke and their lovely children this weekend at the Ashridge Estate. The backdrop of bluebells and extensive woodland provided a perfect environment for a family day out and a photoshoot

Yesterday I had a lovely family bluebell shoot at Ashridge. It was gran’s birthday and she was joined by her family for a shoot and then a celebratory picnic. The grandchildren had lots of fun in the woods – they were chasing each other and balancing on logs and watching the sheep with their new lambs.
If you’d like to join me for a bluebell shoot, I’ve got a few appointments still available for this Saturday and bank holiday Monday (and also for the weekend of The Wedding – 30th/31st April). Please give me a call on 01442 870005.

I had a lovely shoot in the bluebells at the Ashridge Estate early on Sunday morning. We arrived at around 9am and it was nice and quiet with only a handful of other people in the woods. The children had lots of fun running along the paths and occasionally stopping for breath!
I’ve still got a few appointments available if you are interested in joining me for a Bluebell shoot: Wednesday 20th (PM), Saturday 23rd and Monday 25th April. Please give me a call to discuss times and arrangements.

We are making plans four our daughters Christening and today I was sent to see a possible venue for the party after the Church ceremony, it was the Iron Room at Tring. Looks pretty good with a great enclosed garden for all the children to run around in! On the way back I took a little detour to see the bluebells again, I wanted to see how busy it would be in the afternoons, and it wasn’t too bad. Whist wondering around I saw this delightful sight, spring is a wonderful time of year:

Last year the bluebells at the Ashridge estate were at their best from early May and this year, a naturalist from National Trust said they are expected to be early due to weather conditions (read here). Well guess what, they are here already!!!! (I’ve just been to see them)

I will be running family portrait sessions amongst the bluebells, they will be 30 minutes long and will be at a great price, just £25!
The first date is this weekend, Sunday 17th April (the weather is forecast to be good).
Please give me a call to book your portrait session, 01442 870005.
See you in the Bluebells

This weekend I met a lovely family over at the Ashridge estate. It was a beautiful afternoon with the sun was punching its way through some thin high clouds. Ashridge was busy as you would expect on a sunny Sunday afternoon with the ice-cream van having a long queue of customers waiting to buy their treats.
Helen and Rob played with their two boys, I gave just a little direction and tried to keep things moving. In the woods, Ethan needed no encouragement to throw leaves in to the air, leaves over his little brother and then over his mum and dad!
Here are a few images from the shoot:

On Christmas Eve I spent the morning with Peter, Susan and their family who had travelled from various places to be together. Peter’s son-in-law came to collect me (in his 4×4) from the outskirts of Tring because the road up to the house was narrow, steep and still covered in a generous layer of very slippy compacted ice.
I spent a very enjoyable hour (or so) with the family, taking various group shots and finding out a little about everyone.

This week I met a family at the Ashridge Estate for the last autumn shoot of the season. The recent windy weather together with a few cold snaps has meant that most of the leaves have fallen and most of the trees are looking bare.
So, I met Harry, Tommy and their mum and dad for some fun in the woods. The boys were great fun and appreciated their time jumping in puddles and throwing leaves on their parents.
