Berkhamsted Baby Portrait: 8 months

September 28th, 2009

Tilly and her mum, Hilary, returned to the studio for another photo shoot. Tilly last visited when she was 4 months old, since then she has learnt to sit up very confidently and has grown very quickly, she is now a little over 8 months old and looks even more like her elder sister!

Here’s cute little Tilly.

Image Published : Somerville’s Travels

September 16th, 2009

I was contacted by an image researcher from the AA Publishing organisation several months ago regarding a photograph I’d taken. It turned out that they were interested in using it in a book written by Christopher Somerville, “Somerville’s Travels” (he was the Author of the books that accompanied the BBC Coast programme).

So here’s the picture that they wanted:

Ivinghoe Landscape

It’s a picture of the rolling Chiltern hills taken from a path leading up to the summit of Ivinghoe Beacon and was taken 6th January 2009.

The book is now available for pre-order on amazon.

Tring couple portrait shoot : On location

September 13th, 2009

I joined Steven and Nicola this afternoon for a photoshoot. We headed to Pitstone Windmill for the first part of the afternoon, it was a little chilly in the cool breeze (where did that summer go?) but we didn’t let that slow us down – this lovely couple were very natural infront of the camera trying lots of different poses and making use of the steps, doorways etc. For the second part of the shoot we went to the Grand Union canal and the reservoirs over at Marsworth for a few more pictures!

Rickmansworth Family Portrait

September 12th, 2009

Helen and Hugh travelled from Rickmansworth yesterday for a visit to the studio. They brought their 19 week old baby son for some photographs – he was very cute and has a beautiful smile!

After the family got changed, we had a quick chat about the shoot and the priority pictures and then the fun started. Here are some photos from the session:

Dunstable and Abingdon Family shoot: Family Portrait

September 6th, 2009

On Saturday afternoon, Ian and his brother Mark arrived at the studio with their respective families. The children were great fun, the youngest, aged 2 was a fan of Iggle Piggle (who often sits on my camera helping me to take pictures). The shoot went very well and each of the older children each had a turn at directing a pose!

Watford/Brentwood/Cardiff family portrait shoot

September 1st, 2009

A while ago Jane called me to arrange an extended family shoot. On the day of the shoot, her family, her brothers family and her mum and dad arrived, in all 10 people. It was Jane’s mum’s birthday! There was the shoot today and a big party planned for the weekend (I hope it went well and that your mum enjoyed her birthday weekend)

Here are a few shots from the shoot:

Back to School Photos

September 1st, 2009

Back to school portraitIt’s that time of the year! Children and parents are preparing for the start of the new school year. Some children are going to school for the first time and will be full of apprehension and excitement whilst for others they are progressing to a new school or the next class.

Why not record this special time of the year with a back to school photograph of your child in their new school uniform!

Here’s William he’s going to be returning to school this week and he tells me he’s looking forward to spending time with his friends in the playground.
